Introduction

Welcome to Lux Tours and Shuttles. By accessing and using this website and booking our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Services

Lux Tours and Shuttles provides charter and shuttle transport services. All services are subject to vehicle availability, route confirmation, and applicable licensing requirements under the National Land Transport Act (NLTA).

We reserve the right to refuse service if safety, legal, or operational concerns arise.

Bookings and Confirmation

All bookings must be made through our official website, email, or approved communication channels.

A booking is only confirmed once written confirmation has been issued and any required deposit has been received. All quoted prices are documented in the written confirmation and are binding from that point forward. Clients are responsible for ensuring that booking details are accurate, including pickup locations, times, and passenger numbers.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Quoted prices are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed in writing, at which point the agreed price is binding.

Payment terms are as follows:

A deposit may be required to secure a booking. The deposit amount will be specified at the time of booking. Full payment must be made prior to service delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may result in cancellation of services.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to info@luxtoursandshuttles.com.

The following cancellation terms apply:

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service will be eligible for a refund of 80% of any amount paid. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking value. Same-day cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full booking amount, and no refund will be issued.

Where a refund is applicable, it will be processed within 7 to 14 business days of the written cancellation request being received and confirmed.

Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers must arrive on time at the designated pickup location, follow all safety instructions from the driver, wear seatbelts where available, and treat vehicles and staff with respect.

Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of child passengers, including the provision of appropriate car seats where required by law.

Passengers with special needs or accessibility requirements are encouraged to notify us at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Lux Tours and Shuttles reserves the right to refuse transport to passengers who are intoxicated, disruptive, or pose a safety risk, without refund.

Driver and Company Conduct

Lux Tours and Shuttles is committed to providing professional, courteous, and safe transport. All drivers are appropriately licensed and comply with the requirements of the National Land Transport Act. Vehicles are maintained to a roadworthy standard and carry the legally required insurance.

If a passenger has concerns about driver conduct, they may report this to us in writing at info@luxtoursandshuttles.com and we will investigate the matter promptly.

Delays and Force Majeure

While we strive for punctuality, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather conditions, road closures, mechanical issues, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

We shall not be held responsible for failure to perform services due to force majeure events including natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, or government restrictions.

Liability

Lux Tours and Shuttles maintains appropriate insurance as required by South African law and in compliance with the National Land Transport Act.

We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings during transit. Clients are responsible for ensuring their luggage and personal items are properly secured.

Liability is limited to the extent permitted by South African law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be lawfully excluded under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.

Complaints and Dispute Resolution

We value our clients and aim to resolve any concerns promptly and fairly. If you have a complaint, please contact us in writing at info@luxtoursandshuttles.com with full details of your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 14 business days.

If a resolution cannot be reached through direct communication, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

All content on this website is for general information purposes only. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of website content is prohibited.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors.

Privacy

Lux Tours and Shuttles respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and all applicable South African data protection legislation.

We collect only the personal information necessary to process and fulfil your booking. Your information will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties except where required to deliver our services or comply with a legal obligation. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Where material changes are made, we will provide reasonable notice via our website or by email to clients with active or recent bookings. Continued use of our services following such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
